390 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will report on the status of Westmeath County Council’s provision of a new sewerage scheme at Castletown-Geoghegan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10905/04]
View answerThe new scheme is included in a pilot programme being undertaken by the national rural water monitoring committee. It will test a range of small scale wastewater collection and treatment systems. At present my Department is examining the revised contract documents for the Castletown-Geoghegan scheme and a number of other schemes. They will be dealt with as quickly as possible.
