Breen asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the procedure required for non-nationals to process their residency claim after their five years work permit; if their spouses can apply for residency; if they can work; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Applications for residency for non-nationals and their spouses are matters for my colleague the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform. All non-EEA nationals employed in the State must be covered by a work permit held by the employer.
