16 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the allocation from his Department in 2004 for Victim Support; the way in which this compares with 2003; if has plans to increase the funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12675/04]
View answerVictim Support's allocation in 2003 was €1,077,000 and €1,029,000 in 2004. The reduction in the funding was in line with the general reduction applied across Departments. There are no plans at present to increase thelevel of funding. However, in line with a Government commitment in that regard, my Department is keeping existing funding levels under review.
