22 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his proposals for a new inquiry into the way in which legal costs are calculated and awarded; the person by whom the inquiry will be carried out; when it is expected to be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware, I recently announced my intention to establish a group to examine the issue of the taxation of legal costs. The terms of reference and composition of the group are currently being considered, the details of which will be announced shortly.
