View answerAs the Deputy is aware the person referred to in his question was compulsorily retired from the Garda Síochána on medical grounds in June 1994. I have been informed by the Garda authorities that the relevant statutory regulations relating to the retirement of this person were strictly adhered to and that the person concerned has been in receipt of the appropriate pension entitlements since his retirement.
