69 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has had contact with his European Union counterparts with regard to the current regulations governing Irish citizenship; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14517/04]
View answerI have not had any such contacts other than our contacts with British counterparts regarding the Interpretative Declaration on the 1998 British-Irish Agreement, which has since been published. Citizenship legislation is primarily a matter for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform.
