293 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science if, in respect of a school, details supplied, in County Kildare, the free bus travel scheme can be extended to persons living within a mile’s radius of the school they are attending; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To be eligible for school transport under the terms of the primary school transport scheme a child must be living not less than two miles from the nearest suitable school.
