View answerThe provision of health services, including speech and language therapy, to people with a physical and/or sensory disability is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. The information requested by the Deputy is not readily available in my Department. The chief executive officers of the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards have been requested to provide the information in respect of each board and forward it directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
279 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make a statement on the position regarding the proposed drug treatment centre on the North Road, Finglas. [19052/04]
View answerThe provision of drug treatment services is the statutory responsibility of the health boards in the first instance. In this case, the responsibility rests with the Northern Area Health Board of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has requested the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to look into the matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
