View answerMy Department received a declaration of acceptance of Irish citizenship as post-nuptial citizenship on 2 June 2004 from the person to whom the Deputy's question refers. Such declarations take approximately eight months to process from the date of lodgement and it is likely, therefore, that processing of the declaration will be finalised in the early part of 2005.
