250 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the hospitals he expects are likely to provide the services for tuberculosis and respiratory patients currently available at Peamount Hospital; if proposals are proceeded with; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21151/04]

Services at Peamount Hospital are provided under an agreement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.

251 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the full extent of services and facilities at Naas Hospital which are either decommissioned, closed down or otherwise under-utilised, for staff shortage reasons; when he expects all services to become fully operational; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the provision of services at Naas General Hospital rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has received a request from the authority for additional revenue funding to complete the commissioning of additional services at the hospital. The request is the subject of consideration by my Department. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to reply directly to the Deputy on the other issues raised.
