108 Mr. McHugh asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if her Department will make funding available to MACS (details supplied) as a matter of urgency to enable it continue the vital service it provides to adult male survivors of sexual abuse; if the Western Health Board will increase the amount of funding it makes available to this organisation in order to avoid the imminent closure resulting from shortage of finance; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The provision of health and personal social services to victims of abuse is a matter in the first instance for the Western Health Board. My Department has made considerable extra resources available in recent years to the health boards, which has led to an increased provision of services.
