View answerThe parents of the person referred to by the Deputy have been in contact with my Department. They have been advised of their right to appeal the refusals to enrol under section 29 of the Education Act 1998. An appeals application form and a copy of the procedures for hearing and determining appeals under section 29 of the Education Act 1998 has issued to the parents.
The National Educational Welfare Board is aware of this case and the educational welfare officer for the area is actively engaged in assisting the parents to secure a school place for their son.
