378 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he intends to publish the internal Garda review into the events at the reclaim the streets manifestation in Dublin city centre on 6 May 2002. [29803/04]
View answerThe circumstances surrounding the events of the demonstration in Dublin on 6 May 2002 were investigated by the Garda Síochána and as a result of that investigation, a file containing certain recommendations was forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions for his directions. Prosecutions were instigated in a number of cases and while some cases have been dealt with by the courts others are still pending. Separately, certain civil actions have been initiated arising from the events of that day. In all the circumstances, I do not think it would be appropriate for me to comment further at this stage.
