321 Mr. O’Shea asked the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the amount which has been spent by his Department in 2004 in regard to implementing the provisions of the Official Languages Act 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31144/04]

It is estimated that €1,627.26 has been spent in 2004 on translating departmental documentation into Irish in compliance with the provisions of the Official Languages Act 2003.

It is estimated that €1,627.26 has been spent in 2004 on translating Departmental documentation into Irish in compliance with the provisions of the Official Languages Act 2003.

Expenditure by public bodies and agencies funded by the Department is a day to day matter for them and the Minister has no direct function in this regard.
