View answerThe total number of Defence Forces personnel currently serving overseas is 768, of which 734 are serving on UN-led or UN authorised missions. Some of the remaining personnel, 17, are serving as monitors and observers with the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, OSCE, and the European Union, EU. Others, 17, are deployed at the organisational headquarters of the UN, OSCE, NATO and the EU.
