View answerThe national lottery-funded sports capital programme, which is administered by my Department, allocates funding to sporting and community organisations at local, regional and national level throughout the country. The programme is advertised on an annual basis. Applications for funding under the 2005 programme were invited through advertisements in the press on 5 and 6 December last. Application forms and guidelines, terms and conditions for the programme are currently available either directly from the sports capital unit of my Department or on line from my Department's website, www.dast.ie.
The deadline for receipt in my Department of application forms and all necessary supporting documentation is 5 p.m. tomorrow Friday, 4 February 2005. Should my Department receive an application from the organisation in question before the deadline, it will be assessed, as with all applications, in accordance with the criteria detailed in the guidelines, terms and conditions of the programme.
