475 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Education and Science if a person (details supplied) in County Limerick will have 67 years of working in the private school recognised for incremental credit in her Department. [4730/05]

As I advised the Deputy in my reply to him in this matter in a parliamentary question on 8 February 2005, the service for which recognition is being sought by the person in question was given in a private second level school that is not recognised by my Department and such service does not qualify for the award of incremental credit within the terms of the agreed report of the Teachers' Conciliation Council on this matter. Decisions of the Teachers' Conciliation Council are of general application to all teachers and it would be inappropriate for me to intervene in individual cases.
