482 Mr. Connolly asked the Minister for Education and Science if she proposes to introduce an employee assistance scheme for teachers, as exists throughout the public service; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4823/05]

My Department is currently examining the objectives and remit appropriate to an employee assistance service for teachers. Following this it is intended to have discussions with the relevant interests on possible options in this area.
