273 Mr. Gogarty asked the Minister for Education and Science if her attention has been drawn to the problems being experienced by a school (details supplied) in County Limerick; if she will consider providing additional ring-fenced funding to ensure that local authorities can provide safety crossings at all primary schools; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department does not provide funding for pedestrian crossings at primary schools. The provision of a pedestrian crossing is a matter for the relevant local authority.
