The person in question has recently replied to queries raised by my Department in regard to this matter. As a consequence, he has been granted permission to remain in the State. He should now make arrangements to attend his local immigration officer to have the appropriate permission endorsed on his passport and to have a certificate of registration issued in respect of him.
