245 Mr. O’Donovan asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress by her Department regarding the purchase of a site for the construction of a new school (details supplied) in County Cork, if a site has been identified; the location of same and any other relevant details; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The property management section of the Office of Public Works, which acts on behalf of my Department regarding site acquisitions generally, is continuing to explore the possibility of acquiring a site for the school referred to by the Deputy. A technical report submitted by the OPW is currently being assessed by the Department. Due to the commercial sensitivities of site acquisitions, no details are being released at present. When a site has been secured further detail will be provided
