View answerCommunity employment, CE, provides work experience and training opportunities for the long-term unemployed and other disadvantaged groups with the aim of assisting participants to progress to jobs in the open labour market. FÁS has responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the programme. I am satisfied that the programme is being administered by FÁS in accordance with the guidelines laid down by my Department.
