303 Mr. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the number of extra hospital beds provided by way of step-down bed facilities during recent discussions on the issue; the locations at which they were provided with particular reference to the Dublin and Kildare areas; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to reply directly to the Deputy with the information requested.
