115 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Transport if he will report on the details of the development of Kent Station in Cork and the development of a new Bus Éireann station at Horgan’s Quay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21203/05]
View answerCIÉ intends to redevelop its properties at Kent Station and Horgan's Quay as one development which will offer an integrated public transport link for bus and rail transport users. The station will have a new entrance facing the new development on Horgan's Quay and the city centre. This will offer improved facilities to all passengers. It will comprise a mixed-use development of approximately 15 acres, both residential and commercial, and represents a significant step in the ongoing regeneration of the Cork city centre.
