198 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Transport if his attention has been drawn to the situation that exists for motorists using the N32, particularly at peak periods, when traffic is backed up to the Malahide Road while they are charged €1.80 each way in toll charges; the action being taken to resolve this situation. The Roads Act 1993, provides that the planning, design and implementation of national road improvement projects, such as the upgrade of the M1-M50 and N32 junction, is a matter for the National Roads Authority, NRA, and the local authorities concerned -- in this case Fingal County Council.
