240 Mr. Perry asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the funds she will make available to provide a taxi service from County Sligo for patients who have to travel to Dublin for radiotherapy and chemotherapy services (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. As I have previously stated to the House, I consider that appropriate transport arrangements for oncology patients should be made available, where necessary, by the Health Service Executive. My Department has asked the HSE to advise the Deputy directly regarding current and proposed transport arrangements for oncology patients in the Sligo area.
