675 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress in the past six months on the identification of a site and provision of a new primary school (details supplied) in County Kildare; the precise stage of the negotiations; if these issues will be concluded in the near future in view of the precarious and unsafe location of the existing school which is located adjacent to major road works with obvious health and safety implications; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The property management section of the Office of Public Works, which acts on behalf of my Department on site acquisitions generally, is continuing to explore all possibilities in the acquisition of a site for a new national school in Kill in consultation with the local authority. Every effort will be made to ensure that a site is acquired as soon as possible.
