The property management section of the Office of Public Works has been asked to source a suitable site for the school referred to by the Deputy. To this end, the OPW has had discussions with the relevant local authority. In light of the discussions and in consideration of the 2003 development plan for Ennis and its environs, it is clear that the current site is not considered suitable for the permanent development of a national school. Officials in the Department of Education and Science are considering a number of site options which have been submitted by the OPW.
