137 Mr. Bruton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if she has made provision in the 2006 Estimates for changes in the maximum subvention payable to different levels of dependency, the income disregard for means testing, the savings disregard, the element of the value of a family home which is disregarded, the treatment of rented income from a family home which has been at or in the terms on which enhanced subvention can be obtained under the nursing home subvention scheme; and the provisions which will apply in 2006. Provision has not been made in the recently announced 2006 Estimates for the health service for changes in the private nursing home subvention scheme. Increases in the thresholds which apply to the subvention application process are being considered and it is expected that an announcement will be made shortly.
