View answerThe property management section of the Office of Public Works has been requested to source a suitable site for the school referred to by the Deputy. To this end, the OPW had discussions with the relevant local authority and in light of these discussions and in consideration of the 2003 development plan for Ennis town and environs, it is clear that the current site is not considered suitable for the permanent development of a national school.
Officials in my Department are now considering a number of site options that have been submitted by the OPW.
