237 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Education and Science if, in view of the long awaiting application for a sports hall by a school (details supplied) in County Wicklow, she will ensure that this much needed development will be included in the next round of building projects or at the earliest possible date; the date of the expected start of development; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe school planning section of my Department is in receipt of an application for major capital funding for a sports hall from the management authority of the school to which the Deputy refers. The application has been assessed in accordance with the published prioritisation criteria for large-scale projects. Progress on the proposed works is being considered in the context of the school building and modernisation programme from 2006 onwards.
