119 Mr. Stanton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the way in which the existing core service staffing and funding deficits for voluntary organisations will be financed with regard to the enactment of the Disability Act 2005 and the implementation of the national disability strategy, which outline a structure to develop responses to people with disabilities; and if she will make a statement on the matter. In the Estimates for 2006 which were recently published, significant additional funding was included for the improvement of services for people with disabilities. As part of this provision, funding will be made available to address core under-funding and staffing issues in services for people with disabilities provided by the voluntary sector. The principles underpinning the allocation of this funding will be the subject of further discussion between the relevant officials of my Department and the HSE.
