The decentralisation of 50 transport staff to Loughrea is among the priority moves in the Government's decentralisation programme. A Government decision to establish a road safety authority will impact on the posts, but not the number of staff, to be located in Loughrea. My Department is working to ensure that 50 posts are transferred to Loughrea by the 2007 target.
