404 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to the recent High Court decision on court action taken by a garda (details supplied), the action he proposes to take with the garda where they were required to resign from the force by the Garda Síochána complaints tribunal in June 1998; the cost of the court action to the State; if the garda will be asked to vacate their accommodation at a Garda station; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The case in question has been heard by the High Court and judgment delivered. I understand, however, it is possible for the person concerned to appeal this judgment to the Supreme Court. In the circumstances, I am not in a position to reply to the Deputy's question at this time.
