The application in question was received by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform on 30 November 2005. A decision was reached on 7 December 2005 which is being conveyed to the applicant through the relevant Irish Embassy. The visa officer was unable to conclude, from the documentation submitted in support of the application, that it was reasonable to grant a visa. It is open to the applicant to contact the visa section to appeal the refusal.

The applicant indicated on her application that she would be accompanied by her 34 year old son, but no separate application or supporting documentation was submitted in this regard.
