View answerThe Adoption (Hague Convention, Adoption Authority and Miscellaneous) Bill is being drafted in the parliamentary counsel's office. It includes a provision enabling a person who is 18 years of age or more and who has been in long-term foster care to be adopted by their foster carer or carers. The intention is to publish the Bill later in 2006.
