131 Dr. Cowley asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if payments were made or are to be made for the work done by a person (details supplied) on the Corrib gas pipeline project; if so, the person or entity to whom these payments were or will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 132 Dr. Cowley asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if a person (details supplied) who has been appointed by him to carry out work involving the Corrib gas project is receiving payments for their work; if so, the payments made to date; and the details of further payments if there is an expectation of further payments to be made in the future for this person’s work. I propose to take Questions Nos. 131 and 132 together.

I confirm that no payment has been made to the mediator at this stage. Payment in respect of fees and expenses will be made to the mediator. The level of payment will reflect the time spent and expenses incurred by the mediator in this process.
