195 Mr. O’Dowd asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if a fishing licence will be granted to a person (details supplied) in County Louth in view of the delay in receipt of notification of renewal of application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The issue of commercial salmon fishing licences is an operational matter for the regional fisheries boards, in accordance with the provisions of the Control of Fishing for Salmon Order 2005, SI 72 of 2005. I have no function in the matter.
