177 Dr. Cowley asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo who was approved for orthodontic treatment in the UK before their family relocated here was approved by the principal dentist in Mayo and was subsequently refused treatment three years ago; the options which are available to this person; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.

178 Ms McManus asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the amount which was spent for the hire of private ambulances in the mid west Health Service Executive region for 2004, 2005 and to date in 2006. [18280/06]
