Questions (165)

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

218 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Finance if the results of his request to the Office of Public Works confirmed that Dublin Bus can use the route between the Phoenix Park and the Blanchardstown area and therefore facilitate public transport travellers to Huntstown, Hartstown, Inglewood, Clonsilla and Ongar and reduce journey time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The position remains unchanged from that outlined in my reply of 14 February 2006 to Parliamentary Question No. 339.

In summary, the issue of a bus route through the Phoenix Park to service the areas in question, is being considered in the context of a comprehensive traffic management study of the Phoenix Park commissioned by my Office.
