671 Mr. McHugh asked the Minister for Education and Science if she will allow a project (details supplied) in County Galway to proceed as a separate project; if the site has been acquired from the patron; the status of the project and if she will allow the project to proceed in view of the substandard condition of one of the buildings and the fact that the requirements of health and safety regulations cannot be met. The Patron has offered to provide a site to accommodate the new school to which the Deputy refers and communications are ongoing with the Patron on the matter. As soon as the site issues are finalised the building projects required to deliver the appropriate accommodation will be considered in the context of the School Building and Modernisation Programme 2006-2010.
