1167 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the hold up in REPS payment to farmers in County Clare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [28697/06]

Earlier this summer, temporary staff shortages caused a backlog in processing REPS payments in County Clare. However applications are now being processed and payments issued in accordance with the targets agreed in the Charter of Rights for Farmers.
