Proposals for the process of development of the National Childcare Training Strategy are currently being finalised. The National Childcare Training Strategy will be the output of this process, which will build on the previous work of the Certifying Bodies Subgroup of the National Childcare Co-ordinating Committee in this area. The process will be fully inclusive of all stakeholders in the area of early childhood care and education, which includes a wide range of statutory, voluntary, community and other interests. The target for completion of the strategy document is mid-2007, after which consideration will be given to implementation of the strategy.
