1292 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress made in amalgamating schools (details supplied) in Dublin 9; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [28926/06]

The details for the amalgamation of the schools to which the Deputy refers are being finalised. The next step in the process is to carry out a technical inspection of the buildings concerned to determine the scope of works required to facilitate the amalgamation and to accommodate another school in one of the buildings which will be vacated post amalgamation. A date for this visit will be set shortly.
