As the Deputy will be aware, my Department is planning the development of a new post primary school in Phibblestown to serve the growing population of the Dublin 15 area. It is intended to progress the provision of the school as a Design Build Project. My Department advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union for design build teams and the short-listing of these teams is currently being undertaken. A project manager has also been appointed to manage the delivery of this project and the site acquisition process is at an advanced stage.

While it is not possible to be definitive at this early stage as to when the new school will open, the target date for delivery is September 2008.
