1425 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science if she has concluded the examination of the long term enrolment needs of a school (details supplied) in County Kildare; if the school is to be a 16 classroom school or 24 classroom school; if her Department is capable of applying for planning permission for the new school in tandem with the current application for a residential development currently before Kildare County Council, which includes the new school site. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that provision of a new 32-classroom school has been agreed with my officials and the school authorities of the school in question.

Progress on the proposed works is being considered in the context of the School Building and Modernisation Programme from 2007 onwards.
