489 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Finance if he will bring forward immediate legislative proposals to protect heritage sites and the users of these sites in view of the difficulties which he has highlighted in enforcing the control of dog legislation at these sites including the inability to pass by-laws to govern such sites. The issue of bye-laws for the control of dogs at heritage properties in State care is at present being considered by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government and the Office of Public Works.
