811 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the position in regard to hospital waiting lists; if such lists are on the increase; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [30022/06]

Responsibility for the collation and publishing of waiting list and waiting time data now rests with the National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF). The NTPF, which is now a statutory body, was established as one of the key actions for dealing with public hospital waiting lists arising from the Health Strategy. My Department has, therefore, asked the Chief Executive of the NTPF to reply to the Deputy directly with regard to the information requested.
