888 Mr. Walsh asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if he will approve the appointment of a consultant to carry out a survey on the extension to the pier and the provision of a slipway (details supplied). [30157/06]

Travara Pier, Urhan, Beara, Co. Cork is owned by Cork County Council and responsibility for its maintenance and development rests with the Local Authority in the first instance. Cork County Council has not, to date, submitted any proposals to the Department in relation to Travara Pier.
