IDA Ireland is the Agency with statutory responsibility for the attraction of foreign direct investment (FDI) to Ireland. The management of its property portfolio is a day-to-day operational matter for the Agency as part of its statutory responsibilities and not a matter in which my Department or I have a direct role.

The site where the Business Centre is located has been identified by Dublin City Council as a key ‘gateway site' to the North Inner City, as part of the North East Inner City Integrated Area Plan. IDA Ireland is currently considering a number of options in relation to the property in question, including the sale of the property on the open market. However, there are a number of issues to be resolved prior to making a final decision and I understand IDA Ireland is working in close co-operation with Dublin City Council regarding their options.
